I originally purchased the Andis Easy Clip when I first started grooming our MInature Schnauzer, Grace. They were mid price range and did a decent job. Now that I am sure I will be doing the grooming myself I decided to purchase another Andis, at a higher price range. I got the Andis AGC 2 speed. Oh my gosh- like a hot knife through butter! Also, much quieter. I got Grace done in 1/2 the time it used to take me. Now I know why the difference in price ranges. I highly recommend these clippers.

It's funny because I could have written this post. Those are exactly the two clippers I have, and I had the same results. My dog requires minimal clipping (neck and top of ears) so I thought the cheap ones would be ok, but I love my AGC 2 speed clippers. I do still use the little ones to get the hair out between his paw pads, but that's it.

I even think the cut was so much smoother. She doesnt have little cow licks standing up in places on her back like she did with the cheaper Andis Clippers.
