diarrhea/constipation??

Something's going on with Maggie... she woke me up after I had just a few hours of sleep and wouldn't leave me alone (I worked night shift so this was in the last 2 hours). Justin got up and let her outside and said she squatted like she had to poop and nothing came out. She came back inside and was quiet for a little bit and then she did it again, pacing all over the room, buggin' me... I let her out and she had a liquid stool. Then she tried to go again and nothing came out.

Her belly is soft. She's still running around playing with her toys and stuff. Should I try some pumpkin or something? I'm just worried it's something more serious like an obstruction.. but I don't wanna call the vet yet because I wanna go to sleep and her belly is soft and she's otherwise acting fine.

Feed her some pumpkin, and a Gas X gel would not hurt either.

Hmmm all I have are the Gas-X chewable tablets... think I could crush some up in the pumpkin?

that would probably work. Get some of the gels tho. I keep them around all the time. They ELIMINATE any gas issues almost immediately. If she had a blockage, she would likely be refusing food and vomiting as well.

Yeah I found some gels lying around in a medicine cabinet lol. Ok thanks Red.

And of course if she isn't better tomorrow, or if it gets worse, see your vet.

I think dogs just sometime get upset stomachs like we do. Both Virgo and Sawyer would wake me up on occasion with an URGENT need to go out like every 30 minutes and would have projectile diarrhea. After it cleared their system, they were fine, though I limited food the next morning.
