Well Tundra just had the scare of her life and i now feel like a bad mom. I was walking out the door a bit ago to go and feed the dogs in the barn and Tundra was following me quite on my heels and I did'nt want her running outside and She was really trying to forse her way out the door. So we struggled for a bit and I got her as away from the from the door and went to close it real fast i caught they end of her ear in the door  . She starting shrieking like crazy so I open up the door ! She Yelping and pawing at her ear and shaking her head i then saw little blood splatters on the floor not big ones just little drip drops. So of course by now im panicking like "Oh Know what did i do?". Im lucking she's such a mama's girl that when I sat on the floor and said "Oh Tundra come here baby girl" she crept right over and into my lap the most she could. I looked at it the best I could and i could tell i got it good. So I called my vet and asked what he thought and he said just to treat it with some antibacterial cream and keep it and clean and bandaged and if it worsens to bring her in.

So i did what he said and got into my doggy first aid kit and got out some cream, goz, and bandaid for her ear. I cleaned it out with warm water which she did'nt really enjoy. She actually hated it all lol it was a struggle but now she looks funny with her one bandaged year and one regular she does look embarrised but what do you expect from a year old Pit lol big goof ball lol. I from now on she'll no to get back when I say get back huh? Lol im such a bad mom.

Poor pup. Those things do happen though.

My bf Steve accidently wacked Maverick on the head with a stick pretty hard that sent him into a long temper tantrum. He was throwing and pretty heavy stick and when he swung backwards maverick got in the way and took it in the head. He now acts like a dog that has been badly beaten when anyone has a stick in their hand. It was an accident!

They learn quickly! It only took one time for Bimmer to see Charley whack one of the cows with an axe handle to get it to move. Now he won't go near if Charley has anything that remotely resembles it! lol! As if Charley would ever hit him . . .

When I got Bimmer though, I was his second adopted home. He'd gone to another woman with three kids for about three weeks and turned back up at the farm where he'd been dumped out. She called the people at the farm and told them that someone had been driving by her house and throwing things at him and unchaining him to run him off. I'm SOOOO glad he did run back to that farm; I just hate to think of my high flyer spending his life on a chain!

Poor baby! Good thing you have him.

My landlady's dog is always chained up. They love her and she gets to be in the house and sleep in the house but they are older, don't have a fenced yard and she is quite a traveller. She has had to be bailed out a lot and they are tired of spending that money on her.

I was swatting a fly with the swatter when Bronki stuck his nose there before I could stop..I had never struck him ever with anything..he was shocked...i was shocked...anytime anyone picked up a fly swatter from then on he would hit the deck and asume the down and good dog position. I told him I was awful sorry, and he said it's ok, I am sure your sugar forgives you too...afterall it was an accident. Your a good mom, we all know that.

You poor thing... isn't it exruciating when we do something accidental to our pets? Your Tundra will be fine. I'll never forget when I was little, Rufus, one of our golden retrievers, got kicked smack in the forehead by one of our horses. He reeled around and passed out -- or was just stunned. We were all making over him and loving on him and thinking he was going to die. He just layed there the whole time like he was dead. My Mom jumped up and said she was going to get the car and rush him to the vet. When he heard the word "car", he JUMPED UP all HAPPY AND FROLLICKING with her because he thought he was going "car-car"... LOL... Needless to say, he was fine...

LOL Maverick is like that. I told a story like that in the dog stories forum. It was long so I won't get into it again. He's a big baby though. And when he can't do something he wants - go outside, lay in bed, eat off my plate.. he just looks so sad. And sometimes he throws his head in my lap or on my arm like he's just given up! LOL What a goof.

LOL

He was being such a goof a little while ago. I think because Mikey hasn't been allowed outside to play much since his surgery. Maverick doesn't want to play by himself and he kept running into the room where I'm working and putting his head on the bed. (No small feat for him since he has to lower it a great deal!) and I said 'do you want to go outside?' and his head popped up and tail started beating the wall. And then we went down the hall to the door and by the time we got there he had collected a sock and cloth in his mouth and was picking up my hat. :) He has a big mouth.

So I tossed him outside. And then went to the window to see what he'd do. He stared back through the window and then when he saw me go towards the door he ran back to the door. And this is the cutest part. We always make Mikey sit before he comes in because he is very pushy and rude. We never ask Maverick to do that because he's not rude about coming in or out. So I'm standing in the doorway and holding Mikey in the house. There's room for Maverick to come in but I guess because I'm still standing there he thinks that he has to do soemthign to get inside and he SITS so nicely and looks at me like the best boy in the world! It was so funny! I guess he knows that that's how Mikey gets in. :) Of course I invited him in and he started collecting things in his mouth again and following me around. LOL

They sure are. My bf and his uncle just took the dogs on a long walk. They really needed to go out and I don't have time right now. Although, apparently I have time to write on here. :) Hopefully, they'll burn off lots of energy.

Shiva does that too! Does Maverick give you a big melodramatic sigh if you don't pay attention immediately? She'll even blink until she squeezes some tears out sometimes.
