I bought Lizzie a crate mat yesterday and put it in her crate right before we go to bed. M'kay

She FLIPPED OUT. Started trying to pick it up and take it out, bitting it, then humping the thing!

It's made of high quality synthetic fleece - but WTH would she do that? LOL

I conditioned her to it by putting her in there with a kong treat, so she's fine with it now. But it doesn't make any sense as to why she's do something like that.

It invaded her spot. lol Brenna is never happy if I change something about "Her" spot in the house. If I put a blanket down, The blanket ends up in the kitchen.

Oh, she's never done this before. I can put a blanket, towel or anything like that in her crate and she's fine, lol.

Where'd you purchase it from?
Maybe it smelled of other animals, or other people... something that she just didnt like. Is it washable?

Odd!

With the exception of Dakota, none of mine can have crate mats, blankets or anything but towels in their crates when I leave them alone. They chew them up. I wish they wouldn't because I feel guilty putting them into a hard crate with nothing smooshy to lay on, but they just bunch up their towels into a corner anyway. Weirdos.

I'd try washing it and putting some of her usual blankets over it.

Maybe, but it's really unusual for her to act this way. If she's sniffed a dog she doesn't like on my pants or something she shrugs it off and it's done with - no more thought into it.

I'll see if it's washable.

try cleaning it with some Nature's Miracle--that should remove any smells if that is what's causing the problem.
