Has anyone ever copy/pasted an image, then had it printed?

I lost some pictures that I really liked when my computer crashed (I learned my lesson, don't worry :wall:) and I have them on Flickr, and would like to print them out for a sale I *might* do with a friend.

Download the large size images from flickr and take those in for printing. Depending on the file size you had uploaded, you should be able to get anywhere between a decent 5x7 and 8x10 - so long as you uploaded a reasonable sized file.

They were always about a 1 to 2 MB file when I uploaded them. Is that okay?

Without seeing them, I can only guess that you'll be fine for 5x7's. However, download a couple and give them a critical once-over @ 300 ppi (pixels per inch) and then a 150 ppi. Ideally, you want to be around 300 ppi when you print (250 is fine) but I don't suggest you go below 150.

When you select the pixels per inch (in a photo editor), your photo should resize automatically and that would be the size you're going to consider printing at.
