His coyness got his birthday collar a little early, as AC brought it to my attention that his rabies tag needed to be displayed on a collar, not just carried by mommy. Oops.

He has a very, very, long neck, and thus looks his best in 1-1.5 inch wide collars. Otherwise it looks like someone tied a string around a juice can.

But...his neck is only 10 inches around. I know, he has cute scrawny baby bird neck. So collars that are the riht width are often way too large around, even if adjusted as small as they go.

Can anyone recommend a website where I can buy something cute and nicely patterned, but that will actually fit? The collar we ended up chooseing as as small as it gets and still a little too big, though it displays well. He has a harness for walking, but I don't like hanging tags off of it.

Getting one custom sized is your best bet.

I don't really like non-leather collars anymore, so Gavroche's is from Ella's Lead. Logan will be getting one from them soon, too. However, just for tags, Logan will be getting a tag collar from Braid-a-Roo on Etsy. I prefer the minimalist look on Logan for around the house, plus if I put a big thick collar on him it'll ruin his ruff.

Etsy. I usually get collars done to the width/length that I want. Especially the little dogs I don't like the extra bulkyness.
