Clicker Training your dog to LOVE nail clipping

I'm not sure if they go over it in the video but you need to "charge" the clicker before you start using it or else its just a meaningless noise to your dog. However say you take a day to click and then toss a treat after each click 10-20 times now that sound is a predictor of yummy things and begins an information highway between you and your dog.

I'm not done yet but I've been teaching Duke to accept nail clipping in this way and the results so far have been Fantastic. It used to take three people and a muzzle. Now we need no muzzle and one person to click and treat while the other person touches his paws, and puts the dremel ( I switched because I figured the nail clipper might have alot of bad associations) next to his paw.

Also that was that dogs first session,

And its a lot less stressful for both parties involved.
