:yikes:One under her chin and one on the side of her snout. They are red and look sore, not to mention they are very unattractive. Poor Cleo, I told her she is still pretty.

I remember Brutus having a couple during his teenage years, but I don't remember what I used to make them go away. Any suggestions?

And yes, I use stainless steel bowls for the dogs.

Kharma had one once, lol. Shiva got them a lot, and still gets them.

Wonder if that zinc oxide ointment they put on human zits would take care of it? Or even just plain old fashioned drawing salve?

How about the Stidex wipes they make for humans? Caleb's lip fold gets a little funky sometimes, and those clear it up real nice (I buy the ones for sensitive skin). I use them to wipe out his ear once in awhile, too.

I may try the stridex. I have some salve the vet gave me for a hot spot Brutus had a couple of months ago, do you think that would help? I'm a little concerned about her licking it with her tongue when she wipes her mouth.

The name of it is Tritop. neomycin sulfate 5mg, isoflupredone acetate 1 mg, tetracaine hydorchloride 5mg. It says not to use on pregnant dogs during the last trimester it can cause cleft palates in the offspring . But, she's not pregnant, so I don't think we have to worry about that.

Well, I think the neomycin sulfate is an antibiotic, isoflupredone acetate is an anti-inflammatory and the tetracaine hydrochloride is a mild anesthetic, similar to novocaine.

Might help!

Alrighty then, I'll try it for zit medicine and see how it works.

Remember when I said I wish they would start playing together, and you said be careful what you wish for? OMG these two have been playing off and on all day. Brutus finally had enough of her teenage mutant bitch fila dominatrx attitude and put her in her place the other day. They have been doing fine since then. Me, I just have to worry about whip lash... they keep banging into my chair. They are heathens I tell you.

LMAO!!!! Film at 11???

That is so good to hear :) Not the whiplash part, lol, that Brutie finally laid the smack down and got Miss Thang's rear in gear :D

I knew she had it in her to play -- she would climb all over me and mouth and just generally act like a giant puppy. Especially if I had a glass of red wine :rofl1: She really is an incredibly sweet soul.

It's common for cats to get chin acne if they are eating out of plastic bowls, bacteria grows easily there. I suppose the same could happen for dogs, if you use plastic bowls that might be something that is giving her zits.
