i got my inspiration from her to start training penny (my 3 year old golden) to jump. we (penny and i) were really into it last year, but couldn't do it during the winter, and i just haven't gotten back into it yet. anyways i think it's pretty amazing how good of jumpers they are, especially tanner (the golden) and i thought you all would like to see the pics. maria and i spend a lot of time taking pictures of our animals and we both love photography. (i took the pics on that website) and i think i mentioned before (but if not) that i want to minor in photography when i go to college (fall 2005) and major in interior design... so anyways i thought i'd share these with you all!!

the pictures were from my digital... i was just sitting in the grass taking pictures lol... umm i think it's a powershot A70 (here's a link if you're interested... it's pretty much the same model- just a little different click recently it's been my best friend. we're really satisfied with it!

haha my friend and i (we both also ride horses) are constantly joking about how we wish our dogs were horses because they have some qualities that people look for in jumper and hunter prospects. i think you could say we're obsessed, but that's just fine by us. lol

I guess you, Meg, of all people appreciate the photo of my little Bimmer sitting on top of three round bales! You know what kind of leaping it took to get there, and he does it so casually, like it's just little hop.

awwww! cute! seems to me the best photos are the ones that aren't posed, that way you can capture the real personality in the dog (or person- whatever) i know whenever i go with my friend to the barn (the same friend with the website) i bring my digital along and i always tell her just to act like i'm not taking pictures, just do your thing and i'll try and do mine!

With my two Fila-girls the only way I can get candid shots is to use the long telephoto lens, otherwise the little camera hogs pose, especially Shiva. She'll get between the camera and anyone else the minute she sees it. I have dreams of one day owning one of those looooong telephotos that need a monopod attached to hold them up.

We had a little Olympus digital camera, but it died after we'd only used it a few times. I think the cause of death was depression, since it was working just fine until I left it sitting next to the Nikon - with the 200mm lens attached at the time. Must've been a severe case of lens envy. (g) It only turned on once the next time I picked it up to use it, and only stayed on for a brief second. Oh well, I wasn't completely convinced it was a real camera anyway, but it was handy.
