So I discovered I have weds afternoon - monday off over thanksgiving. Just how my schedule worked out...and I don't have to use any vacation days.

I REALLY want to take advantage of this & go on a vacation.

I'd love a combo of beachy/relax/some adventure stuff/touristy stuff...So i really don't want to just do an all inclusive in like punta cana or something. Although, for the right price..I would.

Price is my BIGGEST decider. I really cannot afford a lot...but its hard for me to set a definite budget as I am willing to spend less on an all inclusive thing, but more on somewhere to something really cool...but regardless, prob 1500 TOPS!!!!

I cannot friggin find anything that lets me search by date...without a destination. I just want to see where is cheapest & go from there!!

I'm going by myself, so I'd LOVE a tour package thing, but can't find a good way to easily search for ones in my limited dates (Nov 21-26).

I'd loooove any website tips, anything. Or if someone lives somewhere cool & you need a housesitter over thanksgiving...you can let me know that too :p

Try VRBO. I've used it quite a few times. You could easily find a pet friendly one too. Most of them aren't that expensive and some of my best 'get away from it all' vacations have been using that.

Your problem is going to be that that's when everyone else wants to go on vacation too :( Plane tickets are going to be more expensive that week than nearly any other week of the year. You're lucky that you can leave Tuesday night and return Monday which should save some of the cost though.

Friends went to Panama last summer after they finished taking the bar exam. They said it was super cheap (the whole reason they went) and there were beaches and hiking and snorkeling and whatever else.

Your biggest issue is going to be that EVERYONE is going on vacation around that time. Airfare alone is going to take a big chunk of your budget.
I loved Punta cana personally.. but the prices around thanksgiving really spike :/

I went on a solo vacation to the dominican republic and loved it though! Lovely beaches, touristy, clean, great drinks..

Kayak is great and SHOCKINGLY Bing actually got one thing right and their travel search is really good
