Maybe Puppy Invasion 2013 (2013 cars have been out for months already, you can totally start a 2013 puppy thread now) so when it's huge and unwieldy by the end of 2013 we can start another one for 2014...not that I'm thinking ahead to 2014 already...ahem...
Glad I'm not the only one...

I'M SO EXCITED FOR EVERYONE GETTING PUPPIES!!!!!!!

Then you can just send him straight over to me! :D

How could he not like you Fran??
I have no idea lol I keep having this horrible thoughts of me flying to Canada and getting there finally and this puppy not wanting to even be around me. Which is INSANE because he is an outgoing happy puppy who loves everyone.

I am in the midst of pre-puppy panic. I am going to meet him tomorrow..everything is prepared, I've spent a YEAR planning this
WHY AM I FREAKING OUT?!

Because you are a normal person. :) It would be odd not to freak out about a commitment such as getting a new puppy, I would sincerely question your puppy-getting motives if you didn't. It means you will put everything you have into him and give him the best home that he deserves.

It's a relief to hear this is normal lol

Also.. when you got Zing, did you give her a day or two to settle in before you kind of socialized and took her out and about on your regular routine?

I am a bit worried because starting Monday (I fly back in from picking puppy up on Sunday) my life kind of is going back into normal mode. It's not that hectic.. but he will be going to work with me at a dog store, which is a bit dead on Mondays but still, it's a new place. and we are having dinner with my co-workers..
There will be plenty of quiet spots for him to escape it all (the store dog area is an enclosed area behind the counter where the store person sits, so it's not like he is going to be in the store with other dogs coming in/out all day. and the dinner is just a small work meeting) but I'm kind of worried about over-loading him.

I've been told not to worry since he is so used to being out and about at the breeder's pet store, family dinners etc..
but worrying is what I do best lol and it is a busy day for a puppy being out and about from 11 am-8pm.

Not really, she came to work with me the next day. The way I see it, the quicker you go back into a regular routine, the easier it is for the puppy to see that as "normal". As long as you have a crate or a quiet place for him to rest when he needs to, it should be just fine!

Eh, I had Cookie all over creation the day after we came home. And the day after that. We're talking 8am to 10pm with breaks throughout. Just the way our schedule worked out. Like Merlin she had a good genetic and environmental foundation and she was fine with it. Just watch the little guy and make sure he can take interactions and such at his own pace and gets a chance to sleep. Being a puppy, he will probably sack out for a while in there and be dead to the world. Be his constant and have his back and he'll be great and love you for it too :)

I KNOWWW!!!! I wish I knew more too. It'll be mid-January before I know if it's even feasible. I'm just praying to the Puppy Gods that it can happen.
Is it something of the black or red/tan persuasion? No puppies here, so I have to live vicariously through someone else, lol.

Operation Kong Invasion is in the beginning phases.

I plan on giving puppy all of Frodo's red kongs and purple squirrels, and buying Frodo a bunch of pink/blue kong puppies and purple kong seniors since he does not chew on the kongs at all and she might.

I want them to have different colors because of Frodo's allergies, and that way Ryan can tell them apart.

A puppy? ... No. But a little birdie told me that something is brewing. The kids are planning to stuff my Christmas stocking with an American Shorthair kitten. I've lost my cat this year to cancer. The kitten is meant to be a surprise but the breeder (who is a friend and unaware of the kids' plans) let the cat out of the bag. :D

Not sure if I posted the good news in either puppy thread yet, but we had some good breedings last weekend :D

So we should be having puppies at the beginning of February (right around Feb. 7 if my calculations are accurate).

Bubbles gets picked up from the airport next Thursday. At this point I'm more excited to just have her back home, but then I'm sure I will go in to crazy puppy preparing mode :D

Thanks :D

Now I'm SLIGHTLY considering keeping one........ But I just don't know if I have the time with my new full time job. Isn't that they way of life? Finally have the money for a fourth dog, but possibly not the time LOL. Luckily I still have a few months to think it over :p
