Hi ... sorry for never posting. I hope to be around more now.

I recently switched watercolour paper after trying an 'economy' one when I was on a trip . The new paper is called Artistico by Fabriano which is 100% cotton and rough texture. The surface is workable for a long time ... in fact I've never seen the surface started to dissolve with too much working.

I have also started to shade more with my watercolour & inks. Anyway , here are a few with this paper;

I tried the finer grain version of this paper but for ink , it allows too much dry white paper to still show through so the rough grain is better.

Wow, those are very good. I like them a lot. :) I love how you can make subjects like the sun and the dog look so abstract.

Thanks all. Snark , I do have more at my website www.pugcasso.com . I also have prints on ebay right now . I didn't get alot of new originals done recently because I'm trying to sublet my apartment but I managed to upload some new and old things to my websites tonight.

I think the dachshund above was one of the first times I made sun rays with the dry watercolour like that. Sometimes using dry and thicker watercolour can make a nice intense effect
