Congratulations! He looks so pretty and proud with his ribbon.

Shucks! We never got ribbons for CGC...only a certificate, which I framed. lol.

Anyhow, way to go!
I had to BUY Auggie's ribbon from the AKC because I wanted one LOL. It was the big fancy blue & yellow one though. I'm guessing they are doing the ribbons now because it's going to be a title in January? Not sure, but I was pretty excited about it, haha.

Really?! A title! Wow, that's pretty cool! Well, Auggie deserved a ribbon for sure. :)

When Lyric took his CGC test, he did everything perfectly except one little questionable spot. And that was when you walk past and toward another dog and owner...really close together. He let out a little squeal, like he was going to bark or act up as he went toward this dog. Normally, in a class situation or "working mode," he behaved himself. But he was quite dog reactive in informal situations. Anyhow, it was a little vocalization, then he checked himself....all by himself, like, "Oh, woops....better not do that." LOL. The trainer and also evaluator said, "You stepped on his toe, didn't you." She liked Lyric and knew he was a good boy and was, in essence saying, "we'll just make an excuse for that one little boo boo." LOL.

So in all reality, he really wasn't the greatest CGC because of his dog reactivity in some kinds of circumstances. Other than that, he was perfectly charming and well behaved.

Hehehe I do... it shouldn't make me this giddy but since I was completely convinced he was going to fail horribly, I'm a little bit thrilled with him.

Here's the ribbon I ordered for Auggie, it was only $10 so I figured it was worth it. Taking the test was free when I took it with Auggie because they were doing a responsible dog owner day with free CGC tests, so meh, $10 for the ribbon was no big deal. And I probably will go ahead and pay to have them upgrade Auggie's CGC to a title. Because I'm a nerd.

I think I ordered us a patch too... I think I have an NAJ patch around here somewhere too and then I quit bothering to order patches. =P

I considered taking Pepper too, but she would probably have exploded at Test 1, tried to run away during the distraction test, and Lord almighty had I given her leash to a MAN for supervised separation she would probably never forgive me. Poor girl. =<
