Where I live people will trap feral cats, have them s/n and give them the rabies vaccine and then take them back to where they were trapped and release them. The spca does this s/n and vaccine free of charge.

The main problem with this is that they do NOT test for FeLuk, FIV, or FIP & end up releasing hundreds, if not thousands, of infected cats back into society where they come into contact with other domesticated cats.

Not to mention that feral cats are having a huge impact on our environment & are to blame for the killing of rare or endanger birds. Feral cats are actually doing a lot of harm to the overal ecological system.
