My boyfriend's 8 year old Welsh Corgi gets diarrhea with treats. Even just 2 little treats can cause him to have diarrhea. I'm trying to train him (sit, drop it, etc) and the treats are a good motivator for him. What can I use to not cause him to get diarrhea? I can't use a toy because he gets very excited and protective of his toys (hence tryign to teach the "drop it" command).
    thanks

What sort of food is he on and what sort of treats are you using to train?

Try using bits of his regular kibble, the same that he eats for meals.

Well you don't have to use treats, it just makes it easier.

But what treats do you use? There are lots of different kinds of treats out there, most of the ones you get in stores are not great quality though, which might explain the diarrhea. Otherwise, you can always use little bits of chicken, cheese, hot dog etc.
