Are basically the worst thing in the world and I hate them.

Also I can't eat because my face hurts too much.

I got some alum powder today, so that should help.

Does anyone else get them?

All. The. Time.

The best concoction I ever found was to mix equal parts Liquid Benadryl with Milk of Magnesium. Then you swish it around your mouth and hold it there and then spit. The Milk of Magnesium helps coat and protect the sore and the Benadryl will help with the pain by numbing it.

Little things in your mouth that are like little balloons of liquid? Because I get those all the time, on my tongue and insides of my cheeks. Sometimes along my bottom lip or under my tongue. I just pop them, instant relief and it heals in a few hours.

:yikes: Worst thing ever!
I used to get them all the time and they quit when I quit eating nuts after the allergy doctor gave me an epipen for a tree nut allergy. Who knew
I used to do orajel (or however its spelled) and brushing constantly. Seriously like 6 times a day

Once I got enough B vitamins running through my system I quit getting them.

Unless I bite the inside of my cheek accidentally

I used to get rid of them by putting plain, old-fashioned Pepsodent toothpaste on them. Oil of peppermint might do the same thing.

I've never had one and I don't want one! I see what Kevin and Cat go through when they get one, it's terrible!

Anyway, Kevin uses this stuff to take away the pain so he can eat. It forms a crusty coating over the spot, and I *think* it might also disinfect?

Apparently, it hurts like a mofo to put it on though....:(

One more thing! I've also heard/read taking L-Lysine can help with canker sores. Don't know if it prevents them or heals after the fact, but you may want to check into it if you haven't already :)
(Kevin won't even take a daily multivitamin, so there ya go, LOL)

Are you talking about ulcers???

If so, I have one UNDER my tongue at the moment..... In the weirdest place ever. I bit myself there, somehow...

I hate them. I used to get them more frequently, but now I only get them if I bite the inside of my mouth accidentally. Next time I'm trying alum.

I had read that they are often caused by a reaction to your toothpaste. Before I was married, I would buy whatever toothpaste was on sale or looked appealing. I got canker sores all the time. My husband is a very loyal toothpaste brand user. Now that I'm always using the same kind, I never get them. I assume that I probably was reacting to some of the ones I was buying.
