asking a camera question, cause I know many here are pretty camera savvy. I tried uploading my camera disk in to my new computer, it does nothing. seems it isn't set up for Windows 7. I went to Canon website (Canon Power shot A520), and they charge ($23.00!) to answer a question. well...don't want to do that! :) any ideas? thanks!

What do you need the disk for?

Windows should just let you upload photos from the camera either by plugging it in with the usb or a card reader.

Use gimp or something free for editing. Picasa works for gallery viewing, and some editing. I've just never installed a camera companies software that was worth the time loading it.

I use Picasa with great success with my Canon DSLR, but I have a Mac, so not sure how that changes things.

$23.00 to answer a question - LMAO !
Your "new" computer prob does not reconize the card your camera uses.
That is strange.
But direct connect your camera to computer and it should work.
