I think it's quite crazy...someone in some secret government sector is very afraid of something this man knows/is suggested to know....

I doubt it's even a SECRET government sector -- or that it's only one. Or one government.

I also wonder if Britain would be so quick to make threats if it were the embassy of a nation that might conceivably be able to kick their ass?

Or was sitting on a vast store of oil?
