This came up in a group I read information on, and I wanted to know what the general idea is with folks on here about it. The breeder sold a puppy to someone, now they want their money refunded because the puppy came down with an ear infection - breeder offered to pay for the ear infection medication and vet visit, but they want a complete refund. So where does this stand? My personal thought on it is that it's not genetic and could be caused by the new owner, so it's not the breeders responsibility to refund the purchase price of the puppy...and I think the breeder is being generous by offering to help the vet bill for the infection since they aren't aware of where it was contracted. I'm not sure if there was a health guarantee or a contract...but I think it's pretty silly to ask for a refund because of something that can easily be caught? Am I wrong to think this?
