...make me so angry. This breeder has even posted up the AKC breed standards on her webpage, but her dogs are still way out of breed standards. I've never seen chihuahuas that have looked this bad before. Most of them are huge, and they all have deerheads (even though she says otherwise). She even argues that the CKC (Continental) is better than the AKC. On top of this, she lists that her puppies for sale would make "good breeders," and she says that it is better to breed huge chihuahuas. Ugh, just horrible all around breeder.

Dennis and Emilio unfortunately look like the dogs on the web site. I don't think they are purebred, or are very badly bred. They are way to big and look nothing like Clhoe , Rylie and Madison . They are both slated to be neutered. I love thier personalities though.

*bangs head against wall*

Many of them are 9 pounds and some look even bigger.
I agree most of them look like Rat terriers or mixes.
She has 6 litters planned for this year alone.
I see nothing about health tests, either.

My Madison is very badly bred... has an underbite, floppy ears, weighs 6.5lbs, long muzzle, etc... but he looks way better than most of the chis from, that breeder.

I can't believe her prices for those dogs... no health tests, awful health guarantees, CKC registered. My gawd.

gracia looks like a chi...shes pretty but way out of standard on size alone...*sigh*
Isabella, if that little girl isnt part rat terrier, i dont know what is. once again, way out of standard on everything! including size!
Kandy looks nothing like a chi.
Lila looks more basenji or other afican hound than a chihuahua WTF?!
same with luna. thats not even a "deer head"!
Star..*sigh* size alone is enough to give up.
Tequila HAS to have itallian greyhound in her or something, that is NOT a chihuahua!

shes planning on breeding isabella, and the poor things not even "full grown" yet shes still a puppy, if the breeding takes she will be having her first litter at a year old...*growls*
Same with star and kandy.
worse shes planning on breeding kandy a blue merle to a blue and white...thatll make for some interesting genetic probabability for her!

now lets take a look at her males
all her males are insanley not breed quality, the only one close is the blue longhaired male. and for a breeder male hes much too big at 5lbs. then again when your breeding to 8lb females a 5lb male is small.

OH even better, many of the females shes planning to breed in 2007 have just reacently had puppies...

i LOVE this
"As a rule of thumb all female breeders should be over 6 pounds, unless you are a VERY experienced chihuahua breeder."
or you know, any kind of responsible chihuahua breeder, or even have any clue about the breed...

and
"Be wary of any breeder that lets a tiny puppy leave at 6 weeks. It can be VERY dangerous for the pup."
im guessing her chis go home at 6-8 weeks on average.

*reaches for giant stick of doom*

I loved this:

Hershey's 5 Generation Pedigree. The further back you go, the more champions you find!
Anyone wonder why all the champs are way back in his pedigree???

Most those dogs look either part TFT or rat terrier to me. Lila has got to be part rat terrier. They have a lot of dilutes or 'lilacs' in that breed. Her head shape is very rat terrier to me.

Well I just typed in Rat terrier. The pics look so much like Dennis. One dog was the same down to the black circles on his back. Very upsetting as I had my heart set on a chi for years. Dennis is not as big as they are . Maybe a mix
chi-rat?

Yes, the AKC does register merle chihuahuas. I have a merle chi... she isn't a mutant, though... she weighs 5lbs and conforms to the breed standard.

There are so many breeders (like Tornado chis) who are trying to cash in on merles and are not doing the proper health testing nor are starting with good breeding stock =/ It's really sad.

And also, smaller dog have more health problems. Chihuahuas when born have a molera. This is a hole in the skull much like that of a human baby to allow the chi to pass though the birth canal. In smaller dogs, like my Chico, this does not fully close. Extra care is needed to ensure that the dog is kept safe from any external dangers. Any jab to this area can cause the brain to swell and is fatal to such a small dog.
Up until like 1992, the AKC breed standard said that chihuahuas must have an open molera in order to be shown. It is NOT just an issue with smaller chis... most chihuahuas with appleheads (the breed standard) have an open molera. The smaller the dog, the bigger the molera in most cases... but it is a trait of the breed standard in most cases. Both Rylie and Chloe still have their moleras... they aren't dangerous, and they would have to hit their heads pretty hard to cause any type of damage.

Also, it is untrue that smaller dogs have more health issues. Rylie weighs 3.5lbs and is very healthy and stocky. A wellbred chihuahua on the smaller end of the scale should NOT have any more problems than one on the larger end of the scale (6lbs). The key word is wellbred.

Why can't people just chose a different breed of dog to begin with, instead of trying to alter a breed?

agree with you jessie.

the fact shes planning on breeding a merle to a dilute is scary in itself, but i got a feeling its not gonna stop there.

notice how her "lilacs" and "lavenders" look alot like typical blues?! *sigh* and the fact this person pushes the fact her "bigger girls" are perfect for breeding just drives me insane, no spay/neuter contract (you can get more for a dog that can make its people money *sigh*)

its "breeders" like that that ruin breeds!

I find their s/n agreement funny.

Occasionally, we may sell one of our puppies for a low price and not include the registration paper with them. If this is a the case, once the new owner shows proof of spaying or neutering the pet, the CKC paperwork will be provided free of charge. This is because we feel that the pup that we are selling is not breedable quality and therefore should not be bred.
To me, every single dog on their site is not of "breedable" quality.

presisley! the s/n agreement they have their is probably simpy because theyve seen it on other peoples sites and think its a good way to con more people, just like they put the AKC standard for the chis on their page, not a single one of their dogs is anywhere close to the standard!, or their molera information that has no basis in reality...
