Ugh....

I figured out what is wrong with Summer, I found blood all over my apartment. Apparently she cut her pad. I've got her taken care of, but I don't know what's going on with Mia. She's been limping for about an hour. Back right and she's not putting much weight on it. Of course my first thought is to freak out and think patellar luxation but I've watched videos and it doesn't look like that. It's never happened before and I didn't see what happened. she was fine, I gave her a bath, blowdried her and when I let her go, she was limping. She can still jump on the couch and is still using her foot to scratch, but when she is walking she'll avoid putting full weight on it. When she stands she holds it up off the ground and when she's walking she'll put it down but not all the way...

My poor puppies. :(

one time at the kennel a dog had a broke leg. a few of the other dogs who shared a yard with her started limping too. i think they were imitating her.
could it be that?

I wouldn't put that past Mia. lol Maybe sees Summer getting attention for limping so she does the same.

Though one point Stryder was limping and I just took it as a sprain.. and that leg always kinda kicks out when he lays down...

This morning she's still barely favoring the left back leg. I took a look at her right again last night and she yelped so there's definitely something going on. This morning though I wouldn't know she was favoring one unless I knew to look. She's walking quite a bit better.

Well never mind. The more she's up and around the more she's favoring the other.

It's definitely the back right. Urgh.... I think I'm just going to keep her quiet this weekend (that'll be fun!) and see how it goes. My vet's not open on the weekends and they have no openings when I can go today. Right now it's a very minor looking limp.

She was doing a lot better, probably using it 90% but then she started playing really wildly and now she's back to limping again. It's going to be fun to try to keep her still.
