I still don't understand the uproar about the young man in the wheelchair ... I don't think they showed it meaning to capitalize on the carnage but to shoe that Good Samaritan who was helping him!
Anyways it wasn't wrong ... He wasn't dead, the marathon was already a televised event on public property so in turn anyone who is at that event may be televised, photographed, whatever so the news crew was not breaking the law by showing that young man.
It's only illegal to show a deceased person without notifying their kin first which is why I think the woman in the blue blouse wasn't dead or else they would nudge shown her face.

I'm pretty sure I've not seen the woman in the blue blouse, so I wonder if somehow the pics have been pulled? Would be amazing, but still possible.
eta: Did a little searching and, yea, they were pulled for the reason we were afraid of.

I saw this on a news site earlier and people were like "They should be doing this, they should say this, what are they thinking, they should look at this person instead" Like... give me a break. a bunch of desktop detectives lol. so frustrating. stop acting like you all know so much more than the people who are TRAINED to do this and just be glad they might have a lead.

She had no response to that. =P C'mon. These guys aren't new to this... it's their JOB. And, as usual, there's ALWAYS the possibility that there is stuff we the public don't know. Just because they released these photos and that video doesn't mean there's not something else out there that we haven't been made privy too.

It makes me sick that THIS is what people associate with Christians. This is what people think Christians represent. I read an interesting writing by the daughter of the man that runs westboro and how she finally left and how hard it all was for her. I wish I could remember her name.

Their biggest thing is gay people. That's why they picket military funerals, because the military made it legal to be gay while being in the military. They think God is punishing America for having so many gay people, which is why they picket the funerals of the victims of tragedy. There aren't many people I hate more the Westboro Baptist Church. If it makes you feel any better, this is what the house across from their church looks like.
If the WBC thinks they are going to come to Boston to picket funerals.. oh more than anything.. I say have the ambulance on stand by for them :rofl1:
