I recently discovered digital art. I still prefer traditional mediums, but I do enjoy working on the computer.

Here's one of a Border Collie I did. Don't be harsh, though. It's only the second digital painting I've ever done. I know the whiskers are all wrong.

The fur texture is spiff. :O I love it.

My only crit is that the nose/muzzle area looks way more toony than the rest. But you seem to be aware of it, and it's just something to practice as you go. :D

Thanks, everyone! I just saw this. I know the muzzle is weird, so I'm paying special attention to that now. I'm practicing more digital drawings with Jessie's dogs right now. :D

I think it looks really good, the only thing I can see is the nose, which looks cartoony rather then 'real'

What program are you using?

Yep, the nose is all wrong, and I really BSed the whiskers, too. The size of the file I was working on was too small, so I couldn't make little realistic whiskers and the muzzle was what I did last, so I was like, "Ok, a few whiskers. DONE! *collapses*"

I used Paint.net. I can't afford Photoshop at the moment.
