Black spots on Ma'ii's tongue?

    Well to be in standard they can not have any pink on their tounge, chows do have pink tounges at births, but they should be sloid within a few months of age.

    Not all dogs are bred within standard. Many, MANY that you will see do not have solid tongues. Kind of like saying GSDs don't have white on them. They do, they just shouldn't. ;)

    Growing up we had chows with solid tongues, blotches, spots, and anything in between. Some with very little purple/black at all.

    Yep, I've known purebred chows who had spotted black/purple tongues.
