Mononessa is what they gave me. I just researched a bit and apparently Sprintec was discontinued due to patent issues. Maybe they're manufacturing it again now.

So I'm absorbing that all birth control sucks... Lmao. I want an IUD, but they sound terrifying... O_O

Would ask my doc, but I will have to wait until I get a new one. He's very catholic and against birth control.

I would find a new doc, cuz i dont like anyone esp a medical professional infringing on my patient care with his personal religious beliefs.

what he believes in the privacy of his own mind & home is his business & is ok, but when he starts to 'force' it on his patients, then that IMHO is not cool.

Getting Mirena soon :)
I am on the pill, and fine with it. Totally agree with Beanie on that front, I have been on MANY kinds of pills. None MADE me gain weight, some made me hungrier..some made me lazier.. but none of them PUT the weight on lol

but spoke to my doctor and he agrees Mirena might be an easier permanent option.

I definitely don't think that all birth control sucks. Every form has side-effects, that's for sure. But it's up to you to research all the side-effects and see which one you are most comfortable with. Everybody is going to react differently. I tried Nuvaring because a friend of mine LOVED it and raved about it, so I tried it, and it was horrible for me... but she still LOVED it and it was great for her.

I tried the IUD and yeah, ultimately it was too terrifying for me. I worried about it a lot and finally had it taken out. Lots of people have great success with them though. I think there is another member here who had Mirena and she had a really bad experience with it, and another person who used to be here who also had lots of trouble. People WILL have trouble with any given form of birth control... there is no one size fits all and that is of course why there are so many options available. Trying different forms kind of sucks (and why I ultimately was like "screw it, put me back on the depo, I know it works.") but once you find the one that works best for you, you don't have to keep trying LOL.

See what are so many people's aversion to condoms? BC I could see, but condoms I have never understood. I have a guy friend who absolutely will not use condoms & uses the pull out method :/ :/
for me, They irritate the crap out of my lady parts lol. I mean I used them when I was younger and wasn't married but now? no thanks lol. I have a great marriage with a faithful husband and IF I did get pregnant it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world and if it were a big issue he would get snipped and I would get tied. But condoms just do not agree with my body chemistry.

Condoms do not agree with me down there at all. I have super sensitive skin and anything out of the norm does not agree with my lady parts as Tanya put it. I'll end up sore, itchy, red and in pain if I use condoms, spermicides, certain types of lubes, etc.

I won't go on BC pills... Just wont. When I'm done having kids I'm planning to have my tubes tied. Until then I'm fine with the possibility of winding up pregnant.

I had Mirena for about a year. I started having migraines within about 72 hours of having it put in, and had them the entire time. I have had one migraine since I had the Mirena taken out, and that was about two weeks afterwards. I had it taken out in October 2012.

Pregnancy sucks far worse than any birth control, IMO. :D
While I haven't experienced it, I think this is pretty accurate. And while getting pregnant wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, I would not like my first thought after finding out to be "OH &(&$. This is not good." So I'll stick with a BC that works for me and I can't forget.

I use the pill usually. I can only use an extremely high estrogen one though. Any other pill causes constant bleeding...which does work as birth control, I suppose, lol.

I tried the Depo shot years and years ago, but I had heavy bleeding for like 6 months..even though the shot only lasted three. My body hates all things, it seems.
