I just have to brag on my boy for a minute. We have been taking a class learning T Touch and at first he was really unsure about it. He has started relaxing more with it now though and we are slowly moving to other parts of his body. He is especially offering a lot of yawning and lip licking when you work around his face and ears. It's helping with some of his anxiety.

Yesterday I decided to do his nails. This dog FREAKS out when you try and clip his nails. Cristy can vouch for this since she has seen how upset he gets. For this reason I usually just had a vet do it for me.

We have been working with his feet a lot lately and slowly working with the clippers just taking the tiniest bit off his nails at a time and rewarding heavily.

So... As I said, yesterday I decided to do his nails. I did a little T Touch beforehand and then brought out the clippers. He didn't fuss. He pulled his paws back a couple times and he didn't look thrilled, but he let me do his nails by myself. There was NO growling. There was NO whining. There was NO flailing around in attempt to escape. Usually it takes a few people to keep him still. I had another employee from my work nearby in case I needed assistance, but I ended up not needing any help. He got so much love and cookies afterward.

This is really huge for Bamm. We have a long ways to go, but this is SO huge. I'm so proud of this progress.

That's awesome, good job to you both! Hopefully things just keep on improving, I bet once he realized nothing evil was happening (he probably couldn't notice before through all the panic) he had himself a big sigh of relief.

Thanks so much guys. I got a little teary eyed when he let me do his nails. He is not always an easy dog to get through too when it involves something he fears so I'm really proud of him.

That is awesome!

I'm going to a TTouch seminar next month. This makes me more excited about it. Although if I tried to make Grant any more relaxed, he'd be dead.
