i am working on my two donations for this year..just thought i would share the process and how the auction comes out.

This will be my third year. The last two years i did a pet portrait certificate. Last year i did SnowDog for a woman named Donna..she received a disc where i had photographed her dog as well as the roughs and a partial scan of her painting.
i gave them a choice of three different donations..one.. a gift certificate
two..two scuptures
or three...a pencil piece
I really didn't want to do a portrait again this year because last year it took me three weeks to complete and i can't really afford to put out that much time. The woman at hallmark that i discussed this with on the phone said she thought my "rocks" would be fun so wish me luck...i hope i do them good work.
I receive two tickets to attend. Last year i took my friend Kelly, and the year before Aaron ws my guest. This year i am asking GG..so i told her to mark her calander.

double posting sorry sorry..am going to post as i complete..will be doing a few of each kind and then take the best ones in. thought i would share and maybe take a poll as to which you think is the best one. This is the one i made last night. that is not the best scan but i am afraid to set it on the glass...it is heavier then it looks ...hopefully you can still see enuff to tell what he looks like.

i was going to post the others but since there was no interest i didn't..i did however paint another rabbit and will hope they raise good funds at the auction. If anyone expresses an interest i will post how much they bring in at the auction.

Smkie, do let us know how your pieces go. There are some great contributions this year, aren't there? I think the Robert Coffelt pieces are the second-best

I'm going to e-mail the link to the Arts Unleashed page to Noah's Arc, the no-kill shelter here. I think they'd really like the idea, and this is an area that is rich in artists and craftsmen.

That's really nice that they give you two tickets. When I participated in the Mayor's Art Auction in Knoxville, they only gave me one ticket. If I wanted to bring a date or companion I had to purchase the second ticket . . . at $100! I went alone, lol! GG will be very proud, even if she doesn't let you know. You're doing a wonderful thing by taking her.

i wish they hadn't sent them to the channel four news now..if they hadn't they would have them photographed and on the website..grrrrr. plus i am stuck watching the news every night which is totally depressing.i didn't take pic of either one before i dropped them off and was counting on them doing so since i was taking them in early.
they look a lot better then some of the stuff they have on the web
i am working on two 4 inch square tiles now for the doodle donation...some how mine went from being a doodle to being two paintings and i have no one but myself to blame..i will post them soon as i am finished.

I love the cat rock! It's really excellent and I can see just how tallented you are (and plus I'm an Alice in Wonderland fan)! Congrats, and I'm sure that would be really exciting if they did feature on the news. What does the money go towards?
