Unless it's totally unavoidable (like I have something all over my hands and there are no sinks around) then no. It grosses me out when people lick their fingers to turn the pages of a book or count something.

Yup! At least when I'm eating, although usually I only do it in public if I know the people I'm with really well. I mean, why let all the yummy stuff go to waste? The chip flavoring gets on your fingers, and that is the best part!

Oh, and also when I read books and I can't get the page to turn. I'm really unsqueamish though. I didn't realize it grossed so many people out.

It GROSSES ME OUT when people lick their fingers and then touch something that I have to then touch. And yes, cashiers who handle money licking their fingers... vomit. Do you know where that money has been and how much bacteria is on it? YUCK.
I hate it when somebody licks to separate papers and then they hand you a paper and there's totally a wet spot on it...

I'm a bit disgusted by saliva for the most part so I go absolutely bat-**** nuts when people lick their fingers when counting money. It's just so disgusting! *bleck* Only time I like my fingers is when I eat cheetos. I only eat them at home because I hate touching ANYTHING when eating them. I wash my hands before and after so i know they are clean. Otherwise, no licking here.

I mean, I don't slobber all over my hands in public or anything, but if I'm already eating something with my hands I'm not too worried about a quick, low-key lick, nor do I care if anyone else does it either.

Most things about humans gross me out. I'll admit I am quite a germophobe. This is why I work with animals.... their saliva and urine and feces and vomit doesn't bother me in the slightest!

I lick my fingers at home, couldn't care less lol.

As far as licking to separate things, I will if I'm reading at home or whatever. I won't do it if I'm handling other people's stuff.

Like when you're at the market getting produce and you can't get the stupid plastic produce bag open, oh man I want to lick my finger to rub the bag apart, but I refrain, even if no one is watching

I will lick my fingers to separate pages of a magazine or something, but not money. I see a lot of cashiers with a little container of this pink stuff that they rub their finger on to count money.

People that lick their fingers when dealing with money, etc, grosses me out too! lol

Yes. I hate to have to admit it, but yes. My fingers never seem to be able to separate papers or money, turn pages of magazines or newspapers. I don't know what else to do when I'm standing there ready to hand over my bills to a cashier. I try to do it fast and not get too much spit on them. I can only hope that everyone has as good an immune system as I do. And that they are glad to get my money. Maybe I should give them a tip.

For me it kind of grosses me out. I get it on things like magazines and I know at work a lot of our faxes kind of get stuck together so we use that sticky finger stuff. But I always kind of cringe when I see someone do it with money. I'm actually kind of ok if the dollars are new because I do know those are difficult to get apart but I'm talking old dollars where I want to grab the person's hand and scream at them they don't know where that dollar was. x.x

When it comes to food I don't really ever get my hands dirty enough to lick them but when I do with chips or BBQ I usually just use a napkin. A lot of my friends do it and I don't have an issue. My issue is where the person's entire hand is the color of whatever food they got on their fingers and they just go to town on them.

I can't stomach licking my fingers after eating something (like chips, chicken, etc.). I will lick off sauce/icing and such, but even that's hit and miss depending on what it is. I don't think I've ever licked my fingers when I count money.
