Someone was busted on the news last night with over 200 poms all in one house. ONe was so bad it had to be euthanized, you should have seen the pens. THey said it took six hours to get them all out of there. They were mattted but otherwise looked pretty perky

can you even imagine what that house was like?:(

IT was on our news Kansas City but i didn't really hear the location. Only that the poms were being put up for adoption. Bet if 200 poms show up on petfinder we will know where they came from.

That's alot of dogs in one house. Can't imaging what that place smelled like. Hate to be one of their neighbors. I hope most of the dogs find new homes where they will be loved.

There was a lady a few towns over that had 87 cats in her house... and let me tell you this house was tiny too. Maybe the size of a small apartment. I don't understand why people do this. Any who the town came in and found homes for the cats and paid to clean the house up. I think the cat lady was institutionalized... poor kitties! I feel sorry for the woman too, she obviously had a problem.

i imagine they bred indiscriminatly so a good portion are probably imbred too that is just an assumption on my part. I can't imagine having 200 mice let alone small dogs. It just boggles the mind. WE had a couple that boarded their beagles at our kennel then never picked them up. One was pg. When she had pups i gave one to my guy Jim. I told him later that i never knew the dog was a brother sister breeding and i was awful sorry. Buddy was so dang dumb he ate the air when he smelled something and licked his chops like he had swallowed it. Jim said "i keep telling myself you didn't know".:( He tried hard to work with buddy. THe vet said he didn't even know why buddy was alive he had such a bad heart defect. Never stopped him from barking that's for sure. THe dog barked when the wind blew, he barked at the grass, He was awful.

Why are Poms such a popular choice for hoarders? We had a case of 70 poms being kept in the attic in the next county last year. Keep in mind this is southern california and it was the middle of the summer when the bust was done, I can't even imagine how hot it must have been for those poor dogs.

yeah but why a breed with so much hair. Why don't we hear more stories about chi's, min pins, IG's or something small with less hair.
