Being a cat owner as well as a dog owner, I was looking up some cat forums... I found one I like, but they seem to be strict on who joins... I registered and posted, but my post won't be viewable until a moderator accepts it. I waited for it to show up, but then I got this message:

You have been banned for the following reason:
No reason was specified.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never
I don't know why they would ban me... I just introduced myself and my cat, and posted a picture of him. I didn't advertise or anything. :(

If anyone knows of a friendly, active cat forum, please post the link, thanks.:)

I even told someone that eukanuba was crap, after I asked about nutritional foods...and I'm still not banned...but then again who know, cuz I haven't been back.. :p

I am guessing that you being banned might have been a mistake. The mods there are really nice and the site really family friendly. No swearing, no negative and agressive talk. Don't get me wrong, people do state their beliefs and not everyone agrees. But generally, discussions are kept very friendly. If you got banned, you either did something horribly, which you would probably be aware of, or it was a mistake. How long ago was it?

http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/ is a GREAT forum because everyone takes the time to give you great feedback on your question, comment or problem and your question is answered very fast. Or at least responded too in some way almost right away. There are thousands of active members and some of us are actually friends or get together to meet in real life.

EDIT: I went back and reread your post and check on the catsite and there are no members named Frisk. Try signing up again. Introduce yourself and say hi and mention what happened. You will probably get apologies. I am SURE it was a mistake!

Oh, thanks for that link, iheartsammy, I didn't see that.:)

I just joined a few hours ago... I've been waiting for my post to show up, and when I was lurking around that ban message came up.

I even saved what I posted:
I am new to this forum and I'd like to introduce myself.

My name is Amy and I'm from NB, Canada. I love to draw and take pictures of my pets, especially of my baby Frisco. :heart3:

A strange Feral cat gave birth to a litter of 6 kittens in the woods near our house. I wanted to capture all of her kittens, tame them, care for them and find them homes when they were old enough. But they were much too smart and hard to catch. I did manage to trap and catch one kitten with my bare hands, after chasing them for hours through the woods.

I did recieve some nasty bites and scratches from the little bugger, but it was worth it to save a life. This kitten was the runt of the litter, he was always the last to be carried accross the road, and probably the last to be fed. He was nothing but skin and bones, and had an injury to his tail. I later found out at his first vet appointment that something had crushed his virtibrae (sp?) when he was very young. It does not cause him any pain, but his tail will always be kinked.

Each day the kitten became more trusting and affectionate. We became very attached to eachother. It was almost as if he knew I saved his life.

That kitten is now a healthy, year & a half old, neutered cat. His name is Frisco and he is my best friend:
And then I was looking at someones cat pictures, and I made a short comment on how cute their cats were.

I don't know why I would be banned for that..

Well, if you're reusing the name you were banned with, it's probably going to tell you that.

My first impression from that forum (which I checked earlier for my cat's new diet) didn't really convince me. I mean, they were talking about some meow meow food or something as if it was good :yikes:

Meow Mix I think you mean. The topic of food quality comes up often and everyone there pretty much considers Meow Mix a crappy food. But everyone is entitled to their own opinions, don't let one thing ruin it for you. We pretty much tell people that if you are in a grocery store as your only option for cat food (some people live way out there) then wet meow mix pouches are decent, not great but decent. Dry is still crap :)

Everyone is pretty much in agreement that the better brands of food come from the Pet Stores or one's you order on line with many specific brands listed. If it is cheap and from a grocery store it is poor quality. Read through some more threads. I would be suprised if you find much of anything to object to :)

Hmm.. I don't know why my name didn't show up, it says it is already in use, as well as my email address.
I checked the members list and Frisk didn't come up. There was Friskie but I am pretty sure it wasn't you. Plus various other combos of the word Frisk/y.

Try again, give it another shot. It is a great site! I am not biased really. I have searched through tons and tons of cat forums and it is the only one that even comes CLOSE to being really active. Moreso then chazhound even.

I think that no matter how much I love cats, I don't think I belong to an American cat forum, because I have indoor/outdoor cats... I don't have the patience to argue about it again, lol.

Aww, I really hope that gets sorted out! That's a very nice forum, I'm a member there. Since you can't log in to message anybody maybe I find someone to ask for you?
