Any guesses as to what breeds my Bailey might be a mix of? The vet didn't even have an opinion! She is about 3 years old, and weighs about 40lbs. I was just curious what everyone thought! :D

Im not sure how to add an image to the thread so I just added the link to the photo section in my gallery. I hope it works, if not maybe cut and paste. Thanks..... :p

I can't even guess what she is. She can be really mixed. But I think she's really cute.

thanks! I think she is cute too! She is the smartest dog I've ever owned. Sometimes a little too smart for her own good. She DEFINITELY doesn't think she is a dog.

In the photo, it looks like there are some bluish spots on her tongue, which leads me to think there's some Chow in the mix. The ears are almost Border Collie-ish, but combined with her muscular chest and hindquarters, could come from some American Staffordshire Terrier. She's undoubtedly a mix of several different things; maybe some Lab contributed to her color. She's definitely adorable and you really picked a winner.

Sometimes a dog's characteristics and little quirks can give you more clues to its ancestry.

100% hienz...
I agree with the chow unless its just bad lighting w/the tongue- could also explain coat color. Maybe shepherd, but the shelter has got me calling everything that they can't identify as 'shepherd mix.' Am Staff &/or lab.
My co-worker made up a breed for her dog. Its really funny, people ask her what kind of a dog it is and she has this totally bogus name, and usually they say 'Oh, those are great dogs' or 'Ive always wanted one of those' Mix breeds are so fun; when they're acting up you can say thats the --- in her, which could be any breed of dog you think would be funny to blame... Ha!

She does have blue spots on her tongue so that says chow or Sharpei- The shelter said 'sheperd mix' but so do most of the dogs! I LOVE her!
