I had two girls wear white or a very close cream (which was actually much closer to my dress!) and I didn't care. But I'm not a usual bride I guess. The colour on this dress I would say is completely okay! I wouldn't even think of it being "white", because there's so much colour on it!

Thanks, girls! The bride is VERY lax and definitely not a bridezilla, so I don't think she'd mind even if it were solid white!

I wouldn't wear it unless I had a shrug or something that coordinated to bring color to the top of the dress, too.

But I'm paranoid about offending people.

That! But then I think it would probably defeat the desire to be cooler!

I dunno. I wouldn't have cared if someone wore white to my wedding, but I won't wear anything light colored to someone else's, just in case.

Most of the time (IMO) it isn't the bride who even notices.......she has much bigger fish to fry, it's other woman attending ;) Then of course they get to tittering and pass it on........THEN it gets to the bride after the fact and she can decide to be offended or not, LOL

I wouldn't do it personally, but I do my best not to offend and avoid drama when possible, LOL I do think the dress is adorable and will look great on you Jessie :)

The bride is seriously the most laid back person ever. I have a hard time thinking that she'd care at all. I know her family wouldn't care, as well as her fiance's family. She's a very sweet girl who I doubt would even notice it's white!

I'm going ask her today, but I'm sure she'll be fine with it!

Yeah definitely ask the bride. I was a very laid back bride but I would have been annoyed at that amount of white at the wedding. The bottom portion is fine but the top portion is a lot of unadulterated white so if people see only the top half of the dress you will look like you're wearing all white.

:rofl1:

My feelings on it as well. It's going to be HOT and we're all going to fry in the sun!

Had it been held inside a church, I'd never even consider wearing white. But it's going to be held in a little park outside in the heat during the day.

I think it would look great. Then again, I seriously don't get the whole "DO NOT WEAR WHITE!" rule at weddings. Sure, I know the theory behind it, but I just don't get why people get so upset over it.

Now, if someone showed up in some white formal dress, I could understand, but a white, cotton summer dress? Pffffft. More power to you, and thanks for coming! :D
