Hi, I'm new here! Jane (Milo's mommy) linked me to this forum, and it looks pretty neat. Our family got a Golden Retriever puppy on Sunday, and he's just the sweetest little goofball - we're already in love with him. (Please no lectures about Christmas puppies - he wasn't a present for anyone and he wasn't bought on whim, Christmas break was the best time for us so we could all be home to help potty train him and bond with him).

He looks cute and innocent, but he's already a duck killer!

and he's only innocent when he's asleep.

I've had dogs in the past and have always been a dog lover, but haven't had a dog for over a year (I lost my sweet old mutt on Oct. 22nd of last year and I still haven't "gotten over it"...I miss him very much but I hope the new puppy will help me heal)

He doesn't have a name yet, we're still trying to decide on the perfect name for him!

As for me, my name is Lauren...besides the puppy, I have 6 rabbits (5 American Fuzzy Lops - Bambi, Blondi, Tara, Muscat and Darla - and 1 English Lop, Bailey) and 3 guinea pigs (1 mixie, Beau - 1 American, Blitzen, and 1 Abyssinian, Paca) I raise and show rabbits in ARBA/4H and my rabbitry website is www.scruffy-dog.net/kismet. I'm just getting started again after the move and things are going slow, but hopefully I should have some nice baby bunnies soon.

I am totally photo happy so you will be seeing lots of pics soon, I can promise that! lol

Well, hello fellow 4-Her and welcome to the forums! (Ps: Now that you've got a puppy, you should show it in 4-H as well! Mucho fun! :D)

Oooh yes, I want to do agility and/or obedience with him for sure. He's such a smart little bugger (could be good or bad! lol) He has picked up house training very quickly, he knows to let us know when he has to go and goes in the same spot every time and it's only been a couple days. He's also very active and toy oriented so I think that should help with training. I can't wait to get active with him!
