Oh man, I don't really even know any trainers I like except for maybe...Zak George. How would you suggest I find about new trainers? Any suggestions yourself?

LOL! I like Zak George's beliefs and how he handles dogs, but he really bores me. I tried to watch his "why Cesar Millan sucks" video on youtube and it was too boring for me to finish. And that's like my fave subject!!! :p

I love these trainers, and I've been to seminars/webinars held by several of them. Webinars are awesome and cheap!
Ian Dunbar
Jean Donaldson (lovelovelove! she has amazing webinars. I'm actually really good friends with her... on FB! just a caring, hilarious lady, who is so down to earth even though she's sold millions of books.)
Patricia McConnell
Pat Miller(also friends with her, amazing lady)
Karen Pryor
Emma Parsons
Leslie McDevitt
Grisha Stewart

I recommend reading books by ALL of these awesome authors! Especially The Power of Positive Training, Click to Calm, Control Unleashed, and Culture Clash.

Jean Donaldson has a very thorough, interactive e-course called The Academy for Dog Trainers. It's the ONLY online training program I'd take, that I've seen, and you get mentored by Jean herself. I'm more interested in working hands on even though it will require commuting to KPA.

Where do you live if you don't mind me asking?

Lake Charles, LA. It's pretty much a dead zone for basically anything. Hard to get anywhere here, which is why online schooling might be a must.

Thanks for all the info, I already have a growing list of books I need to buy! Lol.
