Hmm, interesting read. The groomer we go to doesn't touch the glands unless asked... she's only done it to Lucy once, and that was because right after she had been groomed she started scooting her butt around, so she decided to check the glands. But anyway, my mom always gets angry because she thinks checking the glands is supposed to just be routine. I guess I should show her this thread! I didn't think it mattered either way but I always assumed it would be safe to just check... apparently not!
