Orson comes creeping down the hallway looking very suspicious, arrives at Phoebe's food dish, sticks his nose in, glances up and realizes I'm standing there watching. He actually walks BACKWARDS down the hall and back into the family room from wence he came never taking his eyes off me, :rofl1: I didn't say a word or make a single gesture........he knows he isn't supposed to mess with sister's bowl! LOL

Ah, wish it as on video, LOL

This morning, I was on the phone with my dad, and Elsie asked to go out. I let her into the yard. She walked over to her favorite digging spot and pawed at the ground. I said, "Elsie, no digging. Go potty." She huffed, and peed. Then I let her back in the house.

Then she asked to go back out. I ignored her.

I went into the bedroom, which also has a door to the backyard. She asked to go out. I let her out, thinking she may have to poop.

She walked straight over to the hole. I said, "Don't you dig, dog." She sighed, and walked back to the door and came back inside.

Then she went into the living room and asked my boyfriend to let her out.

My dog knows no shame.

I am picturing Orson's walk of shame--LOL!
Wilson has a bad habit of stealing things off the kitchen counter--(now with my son home, there is greater access despite my asking him to not leave things out)--anyway.... Wilson knows to grab and go--usually he heads into my bedroom (where he will go unnoticed until later in the evening). The other day I happened to be in the bedroom when in he trots--all proud of his conquest, only to see me --he gave me those eyes of his, dropped the goods and slowly slinked out of the room.

The other evening we had home-made subs for dinner... BF left the cheese out on the counter to close to the edge. We were downstairs in the cave gaming and I thought "Hmm...where is the boy? He is being very quiet..."

I come up into the kitchen to find Watson peeling and eating a slice of Gouda at a time He, as all basenji's are, was singularly unapologetic about his crime

I had this happen two days ago!

My boyfriend was outside grilling burgers and Dreizehn was with him. I had fed Dreizehn outside just minutes earlier by spreading his food on the ground. Anyways, my boyfriend went inside to get something and all of a sudden I see Dreizehn perk up and slowly move towards the grill. He gets within 4 feet of it before he notices that I'm watching him from the door. Once he notices, of course, he stops mid-step and stands completely still. It's almost as if he thought that if he didn't move I wouldn't be able to see him. He wouldn't even turn to look at me but instead eyed me out of the corner of his eyes.

At four o'clock friday morning I woke up with a queazy stomach and had to make a trip to the bathroom. When I came back into my bedroom Chloe was on my bed curled up right where I lay down. (Please note my bed is twin sized and there is not room for both me and the dog.) She typically isn't allowed on my bed, and if she does get up there and I don't say anything about it, she gets off whenever I walk towards her because that means I want on the bed and she needs to get off.

So I walk up to the bed and she just looks at me. I say, "Chloe, get off." She wags the tip of her tail. "No, I mean it. Get off." Same puppy dog face and wagging tail - she otherwise doesn't move. "Come on dog, I want to go back to bed. Move." Tail wag.

I had to physically grab her by the collar and drag her off the bed because she was NOT budging. LOL Her whole attitude was one of, "Ah, come on mom, you don't really mean it. You know I'm cute and adorable and deserve to stay on this nice, warm, soft bed that you so kindly vacated for me. I mean, look how cute I am!"

I went into the guest bedroom the other day, and there was Voodoo. He was laid out full length on the bed, with his head on the pillow and snuggling a stuffed animal. I'm not even kidding.

Our dogs are not allowed on the furniture, much less the beds! I said, "Voodoo! What are you doing? Get off the bed!"

He raised his head, looked at me, gave a big *sigh*. Then he leisurely got to his feet, stretched, and jumped off the bed. No shame, no hurry.

Before I go to sleep I like to lay in bed and watch a TV show on my laptop. Keegan is allowed to lay on the bed with me, but when I'm ready to go to sleep he has to get down because the bed it too small for both of us (plus Luna) to sleep in. So while I'm watching my show he's usually awake just chilling... but when the show's over and I close my laptop, he puts his head down and squeezes his eyes closed. Like if he's asleep I'll feel sorry for him and not make him get down. I can poke him and talk to him, and he just lays there with his eyes closed like he's sound asleep. I have to half pick him up before he finally "wakes up" and gets down, LOL.
