My mom and I noticed the other day that Cali has five teeth inbetween her bottom canines.. which we thought was kind of weird since Moses has six and I read that the norm is also six.

Is there a reason that Cali only has five? Or is it just a weird coincidence?

Toys breeds are often missing teeth or have puppy teeth that just don't want to fall out. I wouldn't worry about it too much if there is one missing. It may or may not show up later.

Have the vet pull any puppy teeth that don't fall out on their own by about 8-9 months or if it appears there is a problem with the new teeth coming in.

Some dogs just have weird teeth. Gavorche has an extra incisor on top. Not a baby tooth, just an extra tooth. Tango has almost all of his baby teeth retained, so he has almost two complete sets of teeth :wall: He did lose one yesterday though ;)

I just checked Nia and she has 6 but I think sometimes toy dogs have poor teeth or some entirely missing or teeth with no roots... It's nothing to worry about.
