One of my favorite companies had a big online sale last month- their stuff only goes on sale 2 times a year. Dresses that were normally $200 were marked under $100, and $60-100 shirts were marked from $20-30. Anyway, they weren't prepared for such a huge amount of shoppers, and their site kept crashing. It took them forever to process orders. One of the shirts I ordered (for $24) ended up being cancelled, so I was pretty bummed because I really wanted it. Everyone who had an order cancelled received a $100 gift card code- I couldn't believe it. I mean, how awesome is that?! Everyone who shopped in the sale received a 20% off promo code as well... they definitely fixed any animosity anyone would've had over their sale not going smoothly. So... have you experienced any awesome customer service lately?
