Am I the only one who likes the movie better than the book?

I mean, I think the book is okay. I'd probably actually really love it if I'd only read the book and never seen the movie. But I just REALLY prefer the movie to the book. Like...a lot. And I've NEVER felt that way about a book that's turned into a movie. I've liked the movies AS MUCH as the books but never more, and I usually prefer the book. I just really love the movie The Notebook. It's definitely my favorite movie of all time. I could watch it every day. But when I read the book I was disappointed. It could be because I saw the movie first, but I feel like I would still like the movie better if it'd been the other way around.

Does anyone else feel this way? What about other movie/books?

It happens A LOT with Nicholas Sparks novels. The script writers are usually beyond amazingly talented
Have you READ a walk to remember? It is really just..blah.
Same with the notebook, the movie was SO MUCH BETTER and that is rare lol

Umm.. I can think of a few more

- The Bourne movies. I ADORE the films but the books just didn't do it for me..
- Forrest Gump
- The Princess bride
- Schindler's list
- Big fish
- Fight club

:) I adored the films and THEN read the book and just..blah..

SoCrafty, haha I bawl every time I see the movie too!

Fran I knew you'd eventually speak up on this and I'm glad you agree! I know you love The Notebook too. I'm sad to hear that A Walk to Remember is the same way though! I was going to read that next! It's my 2nd favorite Nicholas Sparks movie.
