AKC Coursing Test

Well, I did the coursing test with my Laekenois last Saturday and he was AWESOME! He was really enjoying the chase and catching up to the lures, when the operator punched the speed and off he went like a rocket! I think he was a little sore on Sunday. I walked him for a long time afterwards, like they suggest.

I guess I'll let my other dog do it, too.

When I first arrived at the site, I walked over with both my dogs on leash. They saw the dog chasing the bags and I almost lost my back trying to hang on to my two crazy guys! I survived. :lol-sign:

It is fun! Riley is the same way - after the first time chasing the lure, all he has to do is hear the machine running and he starts bouncing and crying to run.

I've got him signed up for a couple of fun runs on the 20th (there's also a Junior Courser test but Riley already has his title). It's at Purina Farms in Gray Summit if you're within striking distance of Missouri.

I wish I was closer to Purina Farms, there's always a lot of cool stuff happening there.

There's another test in Ohio in November that's not too bad of a drive, so I'm going to that one. Too bad my Malinois has bad arthritis. She would have loved to run!
