Also known as:Chien de l'Atlas (Atlas Mountain Dog)History: They are recognized as coming from Morocco, but could possibly have come from the Sahara. They were used in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco,Libya and Algeria to protect property and livestock from predators.
Temperament: Energetic, good watchdog, highly protective, it is also sensitive, so they should receive kind yet firm training. Not a breed for everyone.
Grooming: Regular brushing at least once a week.
Health: Strong immune systems from living in harsh conditions. No none health isssues.
Colors: Black, white, black and white, tawny and pale red. The nose can be black or brown.
