That's good! I don't even call the hoops anything, I just point at them and hope Gage doesn't knock them down lol. Just don't enter her into extreme hoopers without practicing first.

    What's an extreme hoopers?

i think she didn't see a difference between the hoop and a barless jump.

So many successes lately! Less than a month until our first trial... oey! I need to get my butt in shape.

Ezra's right there with him... though he might think his name is "Ah-ah-come-here!" Or "Don't you DARE goat leap off the A-Frame".

Mimi.. she only has another name when she's doing weave poles. "Go-go-go-don't-you-dare-blow-that-last-pole!"

Extreme hoopers there is a circle made with gates and hoops that they have to listen to you to get the right hoop lol.

Congratulations to Summer and Crossbone on good trials! I'm so glad to hear that Summer was able to relax during the trial while crated. I bet that will help so much with her.

Is there a line you can't cross with extreme hoopers?

Well good news I got video finally. Bad news is I ran like an idiot and Summer ran a bit slow (but happy!). I swear there is a camera curse.

2nd place no Q. Oh well. One more run

I think the NADAC Extreme Games look like so much freaking fun. I know that my instructor is a huge fan of them, she holds regular open practice sessions just for the extreme games. And she already has us playing with the big barrels.

Here's my instructor running one of her dogs in extreme games. Crazy!

YAY for Crossbone and Summer!!! Sounds like you've both been having so much fun and doing so well.

Can't wait to hear how Briar does at Regionals. And I just love Penn.

I had no idea this even existed! That looks AWESOME!

As a side note... There are a lot of components of this that look eerily similar to the homework I was given until next lesson(like all of them). I guess that makes sense since my trainer loves NADAC... Too bad they're not very big here. :-( We pretty much have only CPE with a couple AKC sprinkled on. 1 NADAC a year.

Well overall we had a great trial. 0 Qs. It's funny how pleased I am with this trial considering it's our only trial with no Qs but still. It was WAY better than our last trial even though we Qd there once. I feel like we've figured a lot out nicely and our non Qs were stupid, fixable stuff. I ended up entering some more runs today day of just because and while no Qs they were happy, fun runs.

The best thing is the settling in her crate. She is doing fabulous and it is making a world of difference in her energy level throughout the day. I was really getting worried she just didn't have the stamina for trials but it turns out if she sleeps during the trial instead of bouncing and barking the entire time, she doesn't have that problem! Her last run of the trial, jumpers, was her fastest of the whole thing!

And speaking of that jumpers run... It was FABULOUS. So great. She did her blind crosses and the serpentine just wonderfully. It was flowing spectacularly and she was running at her fastest. And then we made the home stretch of three jumps. It went *jump* *Jump* "Jump in the bar setter's lap and give kisses*. Yeah... we ended up eliminated but everyone laughed. So that's good right? LOL

I would get the video but I'm too tired. :p I only videod our tunnelers, which was the worst run by FAR.

I also took video of them in their crates not making any noise. Haha. Just for proof. I had to ask my trainer halfway through today, "Do you hear my dogs?' 'I don't hear anything.' 'I know! Isn't that incredible!'

Yay Pappies! Funny how we are often so happy with the small victories. Glad you had a good trial!

I really really wish I would have gotten that jumpers run on tape. Partially because it was fantastic but mostly for the Summer derp. All my classmates and trainers were cracking up hard on the sidelines. So Summer.

We've worked HARD recently in distractions class on leaving people alone in the ring. She was doing GREAt and even ignoring my trainer (favorite person in the world!) sitting on the ground. But we never had the chair set right at the end of the jump sequence like that. It led *perfectly* to her jumping in that chair. She didn't lose a beat or skip stride at all. Just *jump *jump *jump in the lap!*

The helper laughed afterwards and said she'd always wanted a papillon. I told her mine would be glad to go with her... lol

Sometimes runs are great, even if they aren't Q runs. Payton had a phenomenal JWW run at Louisville... NQ but it was gorgeous. The only problem was my fault. Everything else was beautiful. A preview of the team we'll be one day. My fave run of the entire weekend.

Georgie gets like a BILLION free passes on things. My mom was disappointed with her run in Louisville the first day and I was like "uh, okay, in JWW she did ALL 12 weave poles including hitting the entry and staying in them, which she's not even reliably doing at home. In standard she did ALL her contacts, got her weaves on the first try, AND she went through the chute with no hesitation. WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM??? SHE DID GREAT!!" But NQ so my mom was bummed. There's nothing to be bummed about! Even a NQ run can still be a great one. Especially with novice dogs.

I told Auggie's breeder in my head Payton is much more experienced than he actually is. The reality is that Payton has only had three more trial days than Georgie (now five after Louisville.) He's still a VERY novice dog. All these things Georgie gets passes on for being novice, I have to remind myself that Payton should get them too. =P Trialing can be tough, especially if you have dogs who get really high and "up" at trials. It's good that Summer learned to settle in her crate, that's REALLY huge! My boys both took a loooooong time to learn it was okay to actually sleep in the crate at a trial. Most of the time they just stood there looking through the little cracks in their crate covers. ;P Payton went a bit faster since he went to so many trials as a puppy! Being able to settle and sleep I think just helps with so many things.
