I'm so bummed. She was doing so well and now I feel like I've messed something up majorly.

I don't know if she's mellow because of the prozac or what but she had no fun whatsoever there. She walked the course simply because I asked her to. Everyone noticed and wanted to know what was wrong with her. I honestly don't know.

I'm wondering, could she be hurt/sick? She doesn't seem it otherwise. I have never heard of a dog that was so energetic like she was and so wanting to learn things go to completely 'blah'.

I know when they put DH on prozac he went all zombified within a couple of days. He wasn't loving life, just going through the routine. Maybe that's how she's feeling?

I'm hoping that's it. :( I pulled her off the prozac so she hasn't had any since tuesday. Maybe it's just taking a while to get it all out of her system?

I've also noticed she won't eat anything except treats, and even then she's not eating them all.

:( it probably is the prozac.... she might just need time to adjust, or maybe the dosage is too high...

I hope she starts feeling herself soon though! :(

That's got to be the prozac, and it will take awhile for it to clean itself out of her system. Poor little girl. But you'll have your Summer back soon :)
i sure hope so... she had her last dose on Tuesday at about 7 pm. I'm just worried that she should be somewhat back to normal by now, but she's not. :(

heres what i found online on prozac for dogs:

Side effects associated with fluoxetine (prozac) include lethargy, panting, hyperactivity, shaking, restlessness, excessive vocalization, aggression and temporary lack of appetite. Gastrointestinal upset may also occur.

Im sure she'll perk up soon :)

Well, good news! She just played with Nard for the first time in DAYS. Now she's chewing a bullystick for the first time in days.

And she even greeted me with her usual obsessive licking. It's funny I'm so excited she's turning OCD again. :lol-sign:
