I am thinking of getting an adult trike because balance issues prevent me from riding a two wheeler. But I have some questions ... Of course out here we have no asphalt or concrete, our road is road base, but it is fairly level & smooth. Would I be ok riding it on our private road & the county road to get the mail (that road is also road base & very level / smooth). Could I ride it on those roads & be ok? I would like to know before I buy one lol.

More or less. You'll want to find one with decent tire widths. Most upright trikes do, many recumbent trikes do not (but they are fast!).

While I have to recommend a nicer bike, as an example, this Walmart bike has plenty of tire width for smooth dirt or gravel.
