I looked up all the parks in the area and have been trying them out. So far I've been rather disappointed, they're all small dustbowls but at least this one was nice and social.

In fact, they even started to conga.

"Peekaboo, I see you"

Sawyer and his shadow-clone:

This is Zeke. Zeke's special trick is knowing how to drink out of a squirt bottle without spilling a drop:

We went up to Central City, which during the summer months is sort of a mini-Las Vegas in the mountains. Right now though, it's a sleepy little ex-mining town.

The locals kept an eye on us...

Some knew what it was like to be different though. This is Rudy. Yes, he's a Crestie.

It was really neat to see him following his owner everywhere, off-leash, stopping to see people he knew and greeting the tourists. Sawyer wasn't quite sure what to make of him, but Rudy thought Sawyer was awesome:

Cheetah came over for pizza and margaritas the other night and brought Eevee along.

Yay! We do know people in this town!

"Do contain yourself...we have to be *quiet*..."

"Making faces is a quiet activity!"

"I command thee, STOP! By the unholy powers of my Border Colliness!"

"Mooooom, can we go now? He's weeeeird..."

"You're weird too. Quit flashing at me."

Yesterday we went up to Lair o' the Bear in Red Rocks to meet up with Cheza and Lyra. That didn't quite happen, thanks mostly to not having any reception. So Sawyer and I did some hiking around on our own. It was kind of hard to get shots of Sawyer because he had to stay on the leash (park rules), my lens doesn't like to get very close and it was busy enough that I didn't want to chance much of anything.

"I see no white horse-Dane, can I go swimming please?"

Sawyer's first experience with a real river...all the rivers we've played in back in KS are shallow and slow. He thought it was hilarious but quickly realized just how cold melt water is.

I wanna meet Eevee! That crestie is WAY too cool!

And of course Sawyer's handsome. That head tilt picture makes me go 'Awwwwwww!'

Man I wish I could get inside pictures of Eevee like that lol. I need a new flash!

I vouch for a margarita party with Cheza next time. And Laurelin should drive to Denver. <_<

Wow, a great pyr/lab; I can see it but it's still interesting how much it looks like an Anatolian.
