curtsey ( believe it or not when i was really little i did that until my mom was terribly embarassed) hehehe blushes and bows. I am just quite pleased with me right now. I didn't know i could do that:D :) A most pleasant suprise!

There has been a couple times in my life when it seems like all the pieces fall into place. If i hadn't worked with animals and had a passion for looking at them (all of em from parrots and finches up close and personal to lots and lots of dogs..as well as frogs snakes turtles and so on...) and if i hadn't done the same with plants, tropical and the garden...if i hadn't taken a lot of life drawing, and spent the last upteenth time trying to draw and paint so my subjects had form, .. shape..trying to shade until it felt right, darn it this is a poor way of explaining it. Anyway if i hadn't done each part i wouldn't be able to do this. It is almost freaky. I want to move on to human sculpt next but i wanted to start with not only what i love most to touch and look at, but know so well. AFterwards i will branch out to other breeds and stuff, but you have to start somewhere and this seemed like a very good place to go.

I did a sketch of a little girl at the pool that was standing on the chair with one hand on each of mom's knees looking very anxious at the water. I think i would like to do a tile like that as well. After i finish my Victor series. I want about 6 head tiles, one with body tile, i made a foot print too, then i want one bust life size. That is the goal. I spend 3 days a week at the guild, one night i work a project with Hyia. So far she has made the sweetest little snails, a mushroom she is very proud of and a "lady". We made a coil pot that we smoothed out and texturized, about 2 feet long and oval for her bonsai tree we grow together. THis week she is sketching ideas of ladies to make again. She wants to make a race car but i told her we would do that after she has had a little more practice. It is only one night a week for her and we and she really looks forward to it. Getting her first pieces glazed made her as excited as the rest of us. :) At least someone is interested for me to pass this down to. I am trying to make it as fun for her as possible as well as teach her how to respect an art studio that is shared by so many people. She has to not bother adults that are working, clean her area and her tools too. Leave it like you find it.:)

Has become and awesome place for Vic as well. He has learned like Hyia how to not bother people working, not get in the way, know where and where he isn't to go...not leave the building when the door is left open, all those important shop dog things. Having a facility let me train him like that is a rare happening in a dog's life. I have the address for Pets for Life and I know we are ready now. He is going to take his bubble act to people that could use some serious cheering up. Everyone loves watching, it makes them all smile. People blow bubbles for him there too. I tease him about the place becoming his "Cheers" and i am proud when i hear people say "I can't believe how good he is". HE really is smart. HE even visits people in their studios never staying long, but they come out and say Vic stopped by to say hello. When there is a class going on he stays on his bean bag until it is over. And i only have to tell him once.
