Hi fellow chazhounders, here are a couple new paintings I'm wrapping up. It's been a few weeks since I've posted, I've been painting a family portrait (with a dog, of course). But now that's finished, I'm back to the big dog heads...

    This one's 22"x28" -

and this one (different client) is 16"x20" -

Great paintings, I love your work. The expression of the dog in the second pic is gorgeous.

I love seeing your work. You get the expressions so well, and I have to tell you that the work on the dewlaps and teeth in that first one is superlative!

Both are well executed, of course, the second is my favorite because it has that feeling of "something more" the lighting giving a glimpse into the reality of time and thus into the soul of your subject. Congrates! I just want to reach my hand behind that lovely ear and give the neck a stroke or two.

Very lovely! I work in pastel, pen&ink and pencil, just can't seem to get oils or acrylics to work for me and tend to muddy the colors.
