As far as licensing goes when you get the 3yr. rabies vaccine, you still have to get it every year right?

Here the license is every year, but they keep the rabies cert on file and only need to see a new one when That's expired.

In NY if your country pays an extra fee they can give out 3 yr licenses. So, I can either pay $15 in Southampton to get a 3 yr, or I can go to brookhaven every year and pay 2.50 each time. I usually opt for the $15.

Cider has a lifetime dog license. The checked her spay forms and her rabies when I registered her.. and have never called or been by for another copy of a current one.

By law, here, you're only required to vaccinate your dog for rabies every 3 years. Our town requires to renew dog licenses every year, and if you forget and pass the time of re registering you get fined, and it gets pretty hefty as time goes by. I try to do it every Thanksgiving, I forgot one year and it cost me.
