It is annoying for sure. =< Deloading is a thing in weightlifting, sometimes you have to deload before you can make progress again. But it's still difficult mentally because it feels like a set back, or giving up, or whatever. Discussing any supplements with your doc is an excellent idea! As far as the craving mushrooms goes, TBH, if you're craving them, I would take that as a sign that your body wants that, and you should eat the hell out of them LOL. I've learned to listen to my body to a point... not always eating exactly what I'm craving, but for example, I know if I'm craving Fritos, that's a signal that my body is low on sodium and I need something salty ASAP. So if your body says MOAR MUSHROOMS I would totally go for it.
