does this just not break your heart?
It does. and I really, really don't get it. If you're going to abandon an animal . . . take it to the shelter. That's basic decency . . . don't leave it in a dumpster like trash . . .
Do these people have no compassion what so ever?
Objection. Rhetotrical question. Asked and answered.
That's so horrible. It's really sad how many young puppies and kittens are found in dumpsters. I found Goober in a dumpster by my work. There were two kittens tied up in a grocery bag about 3 weeks old. Goober was mewing and I had driven up to the dumpster to clean out my car of all our trash from a camping trip after I got off work. I heard his mews and dug around till I found the bag and saw movement in it. I ripped the bag open since I couldn't untie it fast enough and Goober was in there still alive, but sickly wormy and holding on. Unfortunately the other kitten was already dead when I found them. It was horrible. Finding that little boy in the dumpster was the best thing that ever happened to both of us.
It's just really crushing how common it is. Another common one is people drowning them in rivers. My dad found two black lab pups this way. It seems my family has a nack for being in the right place at the right time and rescuing animals. We were living in Sacramento, California at the time. My dad still lives there. Anyways... there was a guy that had a whole litter of black lab puppies. He was drowning them one by one. My dad was walking alongside the river and noticed it. He ran over there and jumped on the guy (I wish I could have been there to see that). He ended up nocking the guy unconscious and jumped in the water to get the pup that the guy had been trying to drown. He saved two of them... I'm sure there were more puppies that didn't make it, but I don't know.
It truly does break my heart how cruel some people are
So sad ..............
